The Faraway Soldier (Ages 4 to 12)

The Faraway Soldier, is dedicated by Richard Petty (Nascar Racing #43) and Brandon Bing, Country Western recording artist in Nashville, who wrote the accompanying song with the same name. The book was written for children (ages 4 to 12) in military families who face the emotional difficulty of having a parent deployed overseas. It addresses the emotional challenge, while also giving multiple projects for the child to do that makes the time go faster and the excitement of the journey rewarding. The child will enjoy the message and the unique ideas on how to positively engage with the deployed parent that makes for a rewarding experience for both child and parent.
